History
The Coen Steel division was an integral part of Coen Group
for over a century. In 1997 the Coen Steel Division
commenced independent trading, as a group of companies know
as Coen Steel Group, with its main trading operation
being Coen Steel. The executive chairman Mr. David
Coen Snr exclusively owns the new Coen Steel Group.
Location
The factory, warehouses and headquarters are located on
the main Galway/Dublin road on the outskirts of Galway City
at Oranmore. The complex has 60,350 sq. feet of modern factory/warehouses
and a new office building, just completed. The groups other
locations are situated in Lisburn Northern Ireland, Dublin,
Greenore and Drogheda Ports Co. Louth.
Client Base
Coen Steel supplies large tonnage of cut and bent reinforcing
to major building projects and the rapidly growing national
infrastructure network. The group also supplies standard and
specialised steel to Precision, I.T., Industrial and General
Steel Fabricators.
Distribution
& Quality Assurance
We strive to insure prompt delivery and 1st
class service. Our distribution is catered for by our own
fleet (10 Trucks and Trailers) and independent subcontracted
transport. In keeping with our continuous
and excellent performance in the steel trade, we are one of
the few steel stockholders in the country to operate a quality
system, complying with the requirements of BS EN ISO 9002
UK Cares Authority for reinforcing steel.
